COLT Masters Student Tetiana Savchynska Publishes Ukrainian Translation

Comparative Literature Masters student Tetiana Savchynska has recently been published in the well-regarded translated literature magazine Asymptote. Savchynska 's translation of "Мартин" (In English, "Martin") was originally written by Kateryna Kalytko and published in the April issue of Asymptote. Savchynska is a literary translator and a former military interpreter from Lviv, Ukraine. She holds an M.A. in Translation Studies from Lviv Ivan Franko National University in addition to working on her M.A. in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth where she studies on a Fulbright Scholarship. She has translated over ten books from English into Ukrainian. Among her translations are texts by Kazuo Ishiguro, John le Carré, and Madeleine Thien. Savchynska also has a fellowship for this year's workshop at the Banff Center.
