A reading and conversation with author Isabella Hammad
Isabella Hammad is the author of The Parisian, Recognizing the Stranger and Enter Ghost, which received the Aspen Prize, the Clark Prize, and the Encore Award, and her work has been supported by the Lannan Foundation and Columbia University’s Institute for Ideas and Imagination. In 2023 she was named one of Granta's Best of Young British Novelists. Hammad has taught literature and creative writing at NYU, Brown University, and Al Quds Bard College. She is currently the Mary Ellen von der Heyden Fellow at the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at the New York Public Library.
