[more]Merve Tabur is a first year Ph.D. student in Comparative Literature at Penn State. Her research focuses on contemporary Turkish and Egyptian fiction, visual and popular culture in the Middle East and transnational feminism. She also translates academic works between English and Turkish.
[more]2014 COLT MA Graduate Iryna Shuvalova has recently published two new collections of original poems in Ukrainian, Os and Az. Her translations from Ukrainian appeared in Words Without Borders in August 2014, and her translations of a number of poems by Sergei Chegra have been accepted for publication by Modern Poetry in Translation.
[more]Originally from Venezuela, I specialized in British and Spanish Literature for my MA in Comparative Literature at Dartmouth. After graduating this summer, I will remain at Dartmouth College to work for the Department of Spanish and Portuguese as the 2012-2013 Resident Advisor to La Casa, the Spanish language affinity house and immersion program.
