A Study on Nathaniel Hawthorne's Cultural and Political Strategies

After graduating from the Comparative Literature Program at Dartmouth College in 2018, I co-authored a monograph in 2019 on the American writer Nathaniel Hawthorne with the title "A Study on Nathaniel Hawthorne's Cultural and Political Strategies," published by the Ningbo Publishing House in China. Back in 2016, Professor Donald E. Pease, an expert in American literature at Dartmouth College, invited me to be his visiting scholar. Inspired by his invitation, I decided to apply to Dartmouth so as to be enrolled as a full-time student to gain more comprehensive academic training. My episode here not only enabled me to continue my research but also expanded my interest to the field of modern Chinese history and literature under the guidance of Professor Pamela Kyle Crossley.
