My research generally is based on the material of literary and non-literary translation, its theory, practice, and teaching, and concerns the history of translation and censorship in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. My current research divides into three strands outlined below, each associated with a continuous record of peer-reviewed publications and a sustained grant-seeking narrative. The first research strand develops the historiography of Ukrainian translation and includes a newly published book chapter in Translation Studies in Ukraine as an Integral Part of the European Context (2023) and several forthcoming editions: co-authored book chapter in Russian Literary Translation in the Global Context (in production under contract with Open Book, 2023), two co-authored encyclopedic articles in Routledge Handbook of Translation and Censorship (in production under contract with Routledge, 2024), a co-authored encyclopedic article in The Routledge Handbook on the History of Translation Studies (the estimated time of publication with Routledge is mid-February 2024), and an article accepted for publication in the fall issue of 2023 by East/West: Journal of Ukrainian Studies. I have six new (2023) and forthcoming publications in the field of the history of translation and translation studies with a prominent press.

IMPACT-RELATED ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING OUTREACH (selection)
Starting in 2016, I developed and introduced into the University curriculum a unique educational and scientific program "Literary Translation from English, Literary Editing, and Management of Translation Projects" as a new specialization leading to a master's degree in English translation. I was appointed Director of this program, which functions at the Kyiv Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University; on May 19, 2023, the Program was accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance) for the next 5-year period (Certificate of accreditation of the educational program No. 4364).
In January 2021, I launched the English-Ukrainian translation project making all publications of East/West: Journal of Ukrainian Studies, which is the journal of the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, available in Ukrainian. Through this co-operation, EWJUS offers senior graduate students in the MA translation program at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv internship opportunities for a capstone project in academic translation.
From 2007-2022, I have been Member of the Special Academic Council 26.001.11 for the defense of PhD and Doctor of Philological Sciences (Postdoctoral) dissertations at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
2013-2016 – Member of the Jury of the Nationwide Competitions for Student Research Papers in the field of translation, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
I supervised the Prize-winning student research papers submitted to the Nationwide Competitions for Student Research Papers in the field of translation (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine).
Also, I multiply supervised the Prize-winning student literary translation projects submitted to the All-Ukrainian Literary Translation Competitions, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine at Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University (former Volodymyr Vynnychenko Kirovohrad State Pedagogical University), the National Academy of Security Service of Ukraine, Borys Hrinchenko Kyiv University, among other universities throughout Ukraine, with strong schools of literary translation and relevant specializations.
